Every project has a unique niche in the market that must be carefully programmed and planned to meet current needs and for the long term contribution to the community. Rodgers analyzes each site to capture all constraints and opportunities unique to the property.

Washingtonian Center

The Washingtonian Center is a vibrant mixed-use center in Gaithersburg, MD surrounding the Washingtonian Lake. This unique outdoor destination was one of the first centers with structured parking north of Rockville and an innovative two story Target. The Washingtonian ranks among the Washington Business Journal’s top shopping centers and is a popular entertainment destination. Rodgers Consulting was a member of the design and development team led by The Peterson Companies of Fairfax, Virginia. The retail portion of the center includes over 3,000,000 square feet of space designed around a “Main Street” concept that wraps around the edge of Washingtonian Lake with a walking trail and paddle boats. Main Street then extends across the lake via a pedestrian only arched bridge, linking it with an office and restaurant core. Rodgers Consulting and the Washingtonian Waterfront were proud to be recognized by the City of Gaithersburg Planning Commission’s “Gaithersburg Planning Awards” in September 2010 for ‘Master Plan Vision and Implementation’.
